RACE ONE (30 MINUTES + 1 LAP)
Saturday, 29/08/20, 15.05, Weather: Sunny, 32°C
The race started in the heat of the afternoon and it got straight to the point. The safety car had to be deployed because of a few stranded vehicles. Crawford and Beganovic had fallen back in the lead and Jonny Edgar was now ahead. Filip got off really well and was in 2nd place. At the restart a tough fight for the lead began. Jonny made a mistake and flew through the gravel bed, but came straight back on track. Nonetheless, Filip managed to assert himself on the right side and take the lead. Edgar kept putting pressure on, but Filip always managed to keep the distance so that Edgar couldn’t attack. Filip reached the goal after an impressive race deservedly as the winner. Francesco and Jasin got off well and immediately won places. When restarting, Jasin managed to get past Francesco. They were now 10th and 11th. Mini, who had fallen far back after the start, now pushed forward and managed to overtake Francesco and then Jasin. Towards the end of the race, Delle Guanti managed to get between our drivers. Jasin came in 11th and Francesco in 13th. Piotr, who didn’t even know the track before this race, went through a tough learning phase. He did well and finished in 19th place.

RACE TWO (30 MINUTES + 1 LAP)
Sunday, 30/08/20, 10.40, Weather: Rain, 23°C
It had rained during the night and just as the F4 drove to the starting grid, a few more drops fell. After the warm-up lap it started to rain heavier and some drove into the pit lane to change tires. The start was delayed. It took a long time before it became clear that everyone could get back on the grid and back to their original position. The track was really wet now and everyone switched to rain tires. The start finally took place behind the safety car. After the safety car had come in, it wasn’t long before Patterson went off and the safety car had to take over the field again. This was repeated two more times. In the short racing phases in between, Filip succeeded in advancing from 12th place to 6th place in courageous overtaking maneuvers. Jasin was up to 13th place when he spun and finally crossed the finish line in 18th place. Piotr felt good on the wet track and drove a clean race. He finished 15th. Francesco drove well too and saw the checkered flag just behind Piotr in 16th place. All our drivers brought the race cars home undamaged in the difficult conditions.

RACE THREE (28 MINUTES + 1 LAP)
Sunday, 30/08/2020, 14.50, Weather: Sunny, 28°C
Filip started very well and was already in 3rd place when he briefly went off track and lost momentum. From 10th place he started a new race to catch up the lost positions. Jasin was doing well and was fighting for a top ten place. When three or four vehicles were approaching first corner side by side, things couldn’t go well. Filip skidded a little, and Jasin was just a bit too optimistic into the curve and hit Filip’s car in the side. The race of the two was over and the safety car had to be deployed. Not much later there was an accident which involved Crawford, and as he was spinning back on track uncontrolled, leaving Valint and Francesco no room, which caused them to drive straight into the gravel bed. That meant three out of four of our drivers were out of the race. But Piotr bravely stayed on to the end and took 17th place home.
The third race meeting of the Italian Formula championship is scheduled for the weekend of 13th September at the RedBull Ring (A).
